Lorenzo Giglioli was born in Pisa in 1974. After definitively abandoning his engineering studies to devote himself entirely to the kitchen, Lorenzo immersed himself in a "mad and desperate" study-work routine, gradually absorbing the lessons of the Masters through books, courses, internships, and work seasons. He traveled extensively and also worked professionally with great culinary heroes such as Igles Corelli and Aimo Moroni, but he always remembers his formative experience with the Pisan chef Gabriella Bati and his dear friend, the owner of the infamous Aphrodite. Having chosen the path of freelance work, he was discovered by Ursula Avella, Colavita USA's manager for Florida, who took him around the United States, involving him in the ambitious project of spreading Italian culinary culture, especially its regional foundations, in America. For almost two years, he has been a consultant and collaborator for the Federico Salza Catering group, an international leader in the top-events sector... There is considerable demand for his cooking courses, where the chef has always aimed to convey his passion as much as possible, rather than simply providing recipes.
He currently serves as Chef at Ristorante Fiaskona in Bergamo.
